How to do a successful jail break

Well, I might not be the authority on this, but it has worked quite well for me. To bust someone out of jail successfully there are several things you should take into consideration.

Make sure you have at least 10 energy left as each break takes 10 energy from you.
You do not try to bust someone out that has done a crime that you still are not able to do. For example, if all you can do are "Copy Media" then do not break someone out that in jail for GTA.
Try not to bust someone that has a very high level compared to you. It will give you more experience if you bust someone that has a higher level, but try to keep it reasonable. If you are level 5 don't bust a level 20 out.
It also helps to have a lot of dexterity to bust.

Yeah I think that the remaining time in jail also plays a HUGE factor, those
with under 30min come out almost every time for me... those with over and hour,
I rarely succeed!

It used to be so, however, it is said that this is no longer the case. However,
I have not seen an official confirmation of this, so better err on the save side
