Faction upgrades and Organized CrimesGo here for more info about factions in Torn City Starting a factionEverybody can start a faction, provided you have enough money. Factions are not cheap, so before you make this investment, make sure you understand factions, their benefits and their hazards.
To start a faction, simply go to the city and click the "create a faction"-link in the South West Area. You are then taken to the creation screen. The cost of setting up a faction is dependent on the number of factions already in existence. The price is calculated by a simple formula: # of factions * $ 1000. This means that, with the current amount of factions in Torn City, you will have to pay amounts far over two million to start a faction with 5 men and 250 respect. Buying a factionWith the high cost of factions comes a lively market in factions. Most people start their own faction by buying an old one. Very often, you will find it more cost effective. Yes, the price may be higher, but you usually get a number of upgrades and a higher respect for your money. Also, you often start with a number of members, saving you the difficulty of finding members. Upgrading your factionYou can improve your faction with the following upgrades:
Using respect for upgradesStarting february 12th, respect can now be used to get extra upgrades. You can access these upgrades through your faction Staff Room --> Upgrades --> Specials.

Performing Organized CrimesWith your faction you can perform organized crimes. To succeed an organized crime (or OC) you must make sure you have the required number of members joining the crime.
