Earning merits in Torncity

As you make progress, you can earn merits, which you can use on several options. This page provides you with an overview of the merits you can earn. Go here for information about how to use your merits.

Earning merits

Merits can be earned by levelling up, succeeding crimes, reaching a higher rank, being married for a certain time or by being a long-time faction member. Busting can also earn you merits.

Below is the info on when you get a merit.

Crime related merits

For each crime, you receive merits when you have succeeded it a certain amount of times. In the table below are the precise details.

Level Merits

As you level up, you gain merits. You gain a merit for every fifth level you reach.

Rank related merits

Rank is a way of seeing how well you are doing in Torn City. You gain a merit for each higher rank you reach. Ranking up is based on pretty much everything you do in Torn City.

Networth

Nobody knows exactly what networth is, but most people agree it is based on the amount of money you have made by crimes (either gaining cash, or selling crime items in the shops).

Commitment

Lots of people get married in Torn City, but only some stay together for a very long time. This commitment to eachother is rewarded with a merit!

Jail busting merits

Breaking people out of jail is very much appreciated by the less law-abiding citizens of Torn City. So much even, that it earns you a merit once in a while.
