Typically, a faction which is at war would see its members perform a chain using their energy, after which they fly to some safe haven before anyone can respond to their attacks.
Despite the boasting about honour and respect, such factions would systematically flee from all opposition.
However, from today there are no more safe havens, as Chedburn[1] announced the following:
You are now able to attack other people in other countries.
-People list: Each country now has a ‘People’ list. Clicking this will bring up a list of all the people in the same country as you, that have been online in the past 24 hours. People you are at war with will show up in red.
-Events: You can now view your events from abroad; you’ll see the link at the bottom of the page next to the ‘People’ section.
He also said that: "This should also make for some epic faction battles overseas".
The changes are even more profound, as you cannot use medical items in other countries. So the only way to get out of hospital is by waiting it out, or letting a brain surgeon fly over to revive you.
The discovery of a number of new items has brought speculation to Torn City.
While it is pretty clear what you can use a brick for, people are wondering about the use of items such as the yucca plant, the fire hydrant, the sextant and the tequilla bottles. Do the sextant and the fire hydrant have anything to do with an upcoming housing update? Does adding plants to your home add happiness? Does tequilla help you get happy?
No official announcements have been made about these new items yet. However, some items need no clarification, such as the 20M gun, which is for sale in Mexico.
This article may have nothing to do with TC, but I still figured I'd share it with you.
When bored, I often go on a random browse around the web, clicking links at random. One of these links led me to a page where I am offered money to betatest new game releases.
How cool is that! But there's a catch... apparently, you must pay some subscription of US$5 and then some to be a member. Now I am in doubt. Sign up, or not...? Even if they wouldn't pay me for playing... five bucks per month for the newest releases sure sounds appealing.
