Great news for everybody who hates the current warring system, or the peacefull factions. Ched has opened up discussions about a new system of warring. He has posted some ideas and has asked to community for feedback:

Idea for a complete chaining change, creating smaller scale more meaningful battles (chains) but increasing respect gain by adding bonus respect additional to stolen respect from a faction. Making it necessary for factions to war similar skilled factions. Big highly skilled factions can fight each other, use tactics and strong strategies to win earning big bonuses making it worthwhile. These are just ideas and this post will be modified depending on further ideas and feedback. Please have an open mind when reading. Some of these details may be rough or inaccurate, and may be changed at any time.

Claiming Victory: Once you have successfully taken 25% of the opponents respect during a war, you can ‘Claim victory’. This will give a large extra bonus of respect based on the respect your faction gained and lost during the war – you could find yourself earning all of the respect you lost during the war back, on top of your winnings, maybe even more. This bonus is not deducted from the losers. The catch is - the factions will not be able to war each other again for 3 months once a ‘Claim Victory’ has been called. Alternatively you can continue to attack but receive reduced respect gain. (worthwhile if you’re in it for vengeance to the death, rather than respect).

The 25% is determined this way. If one faction has 1,000 respect and one has 3,000 respect. The first one to gain 250 respect (25% of the lowest – 1,000) can claim victory.

Chains are changed to a per faction basis. I.e. A chain will only rise by attacking people in the same faction. This is necessary so everyone can enjoy warring, not just 5% of factions.

Respect in chain is credited depending on:

Chaining Bonus #1: A shorter time in-between attacks in a chain will result in more respect. I.e. 10 synchronised attacks at the same time is better than 10 attacks one after the other.

Chaining Bonus #2: The same level or higher will result in a respect bonus, lower level will result in a deduction.

Chaining Bonus #3: Similar or higher stats from opponent will result in more respect, lower will result in a deduction

Chaining Bonus #4: If you beat an enemy who has just hospitalized your faction-mate, you’ll receive a double respect bonus. Additional respect on top of stolen respect (not deducted from opponent).

Chaining Bonus #5: When the chain reaches an interval of 5, you will receive an additional bonus of respect (not deducted from enemy faction).

Chaining Bonus #6: If the faction you are attacking has a similar amount of members to your faction, you’ll receive a slight bonus.

Chaining Bonus #7: Possible further respect bonuses for doubling up on enemies, putting all members in hospital and other challenges.

Note #1: The final 100 respect of a faction is very difficult to take. If the faction has under 100 respect left, it will take many, many more attacks than expected to completely finish the faction off. This is a good challenge, but not rewarding in terms of respect gain.

Note #2: Factions will only be able to declare war on a total of 3 factions at a time. Higher factions will have to make better use of their slots, by attacking similar skilled factions

Note #3: One man factions will gradually lose respect automatically over time

Note #4: Two sections will be added in to the paper, Last war Won (Claimed victory), Last faction destroyed (0 respect). These can be clicked on to view past details of other wars won e.t.c.

Remove #1: Involuntary reviving – User can disable revives. A) Allow all revives B) Only allow revives from friends and faction members C) Do not allow any revives

Remove #2: All faction ranks will be removed from the system and shouldn’t be needed with the new system.
Interesting thoughts indeed, I am looking forward to whatever may come out of this.
