Torn Cities investors are, once again, left in shock, as a well known investor, Westend[107444], has dissappeared from the face of the planet.
Westend, a well known mogul in Torn City, is known as the owner of several companies, amongst which a cruise liner that I once worked for. He also offered an investment service, offering 7,5% interest a week. He was said to have a portfolio of billions, money which was gathered by many fortune seekers, hoping for some easy money. Now, these fortune seekers are left without a dime.
The disappearance of Westend[107444] is even more typica, because only days ago there was a discussion about the bank. Responding to a question about merits someone mentioned using them for bank interest increase. One person then responded saying that the bank is stupid, as Westend offered more interest a week. The fact that this investment was more risky, was a fact that did not register with this player. Now, Westend has left us all a message, in which he states that he had been bored by the game for months, and had wanted to scam people. History repeats itself
The parallels with the Tea-party are clear. Tea was another well known investor, who ended up getting fed jailed, while having hundreds of millions of capital invested for other players. After that incident, investment services suffered, as nobody wanted to trust a total stranger with their money anymore. But apparently, greed is still mightier than common sense. Officials from the TC Central bank have already stated that there will be no bailout for the victims of this scam. Let's hope that this is a lesson for the future: if it seems to good to be true... it probably is
